Why Al Horreya TV — our vision and mission

Al Horreya TV is a voice for the voiceless, so that the good news reaches everyone it has not yet reached.

The channel is one of the Lord's instruments for fulfilling His Great Commission in these last days — bringing the message of salvation and freedom to Arabic speakers all over the world, in obedience to the command binding on every true believer: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).

Al Horreya TV draws its roots and living faith from the Holy Scriptures of both Testaments and from the sound apostolic tradition preserved in the sayings and experience of the Church Fathers of the first five centuries — the centuries in which the universal Church lived in spiritual unity, bore witness to the Lord, preached the Gospel to the ends of the earth and kept the faith once delivered to the saints. The channel was founded to be a living spiritual stream that connects the Church's history and rich patristic heritage with today's society and its ever-changing needs in the twenty-first century — carrying that experience out of written history into everyday life, from childhood through youth to old age.

The channel is not content to be only a voice of evangelism to non-believers. It seeks to be a lamp of enlightenment and discipleship serving the Body of Christ throughout the world — especially those newly come to the light of the Gospel, and those whose lives have changed from nominal belief to true discipleship, living a daily, personal relationship with the Lord.

Al Horreya TV follows world events and the pulse of the street from a spiritual perspective, to be a voice crying out for the persecuted and oppressed members of Christ's Church who have been silenced — especially in the Middle East and around the world — without being a narrow, ethnic channel.

The channel pursues its vision through live broadcasts and talk shows; programs of teaching and discipleship rooted in the Word of God and the sayings of the Fathers; programs for women and men; programs for family needs; awareness and recovery programs; programs by specialists from every continent; and programs that showcase talent and creativity in art, poetry, painting and hymns. Young people receive special attention as the builders of the future. The channel completes its mission through a follow-up team that stays in touch with viewers by letters, telephone, email and social media, and meets their needs for books, tracts and audio-visual materials.

Al Horreya TV is committed to keeping pace with the latest communication technologies and using them to serve the Kingdom and reach precious souls — so that the word of truth spreads quickly and widely, as the Lord Jesus Christ said: "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).
